Job Title: Bartender
The Chicago Marriott O’Hare Hotel is looking for part-time Bartender to join our awesome hotel team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Greet customers, take drink and food orders, and provide menu recommendations.
- Verify customers' age to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, equipment, and workstations.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies.
- Process cash and credit card payments accurately.
- Monitor customer alcohol consumption and refuse service when necessary.
- Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory and cash reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage preparation.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 pounds.
- Responsible Beverage Service certification.
Availability:
- Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
